Recent Alex Review: "All in all, I was very satisfied with the hotel. When I arrived, the staff was very courteous, yet very personable as well. The concierge was polite, quick with a joke, very friendly with whom to speak. Check-in was quick and easy. After giving the concierge my luggage, I was given my key to my room, and he was up right behind me. He showed me the  features of the room and demonstrated how everything worked. After giving me his name, he assured me I could ask him for anything I might need during my stay. I was MOST impressed with the room. I was expecting my hotel room to be small and cramped like many hotels in New York, but this was as big as any I'd seen before. It had a small but comfortable couch by the window, with a view of the Chrysler building. The windows were massive, offering lots of natural light with the curtains open. For the night, there was ample lighting options in the room for any contingency. Overall it was quite clean, I hadn't even the slightest issue with cleanliness. The hotel offers a business centre with free internet access. This consists of a room on the 3rd floor with 3 PCs, a printer, and readily available USB ports for flash drives. Wireless internet is also available for a nominal fee, however there's a bar next door with free wi-fi, so I didn't see the need to use it. I just loved the bathroom. For one thing, there was both a phone AND a TV! The shower was tiled with a Kohler deep-soaker tub, and a Kohler shower fixture with anti-scald built in so when my neighbours inevitably used the water I didn't get frozen or scalded. The recessed lighting gave a nice atmosphere. The Toto toilet was perhaps the strongest I'd ever seen, though I will say, to press the flush button takes a bit of strength, so those with arthritis issues might have a hard time with the toilet. The bed's mattress offered a great night sleep every night, it was quite comfortable. The TV was reasonably new, it was a flat-screen (I think it was LED, around 32", bu"
