Recent Belvedere Review: "Our family booked a long anticipated vacation to New York City having never been there and not really knowing what to expect. We chose this hotel based on the reviews on this site and another site, as well as a travel guide aimed at the "budget traveler". My husband and I and our two daughters (aged 15 and 20) shared a deluxe double room, and we could not have been happier. The room was larger than I expected - not a lot of spare room, but enough so that we didn't feel crowded. We had a small kitchenette area - microwave, fridge, sink, and cupboard - which came in very handy in the morning when we didn't want to jump up and run out to get something to eat. It also had an in room safe, ironing board and iron, coffee maker, hair dryer, and cable television. We were two blocks from Times Square, and two blocks from a subway station. The were many cafes, diners, markets, and bars within blocks of the hotel. Several places would deliver to your room if you wanted to stay in. The rooms was spotless, as was the lobby. Parking was available at a lot near by, so we were able to enjoy the city without the annoyance of trying to deal with a vehicle. The staff was unfailingly polite and patient and helpful. If I had any complaints they are very minor. The bathroom was teenie and had no real ventilation. We had some problems getting the wireless connection to work (and got a quick, and cheerful refund), but other than that, we were thrilled with everything about our stay."

I always try to stay at the Belvedere Hotel when I am in New York (3-4 times/year). It's really a gem! the rooms are nice, good size, bed is heavenly, comes with refrigerator and coffee pot, great shower (and great water pressure), and air conditioning that works perfectly! all the people are so nice. It is convenient to Javitts Center, Time Square, Rockefellar Center...all walkable! Restaurants on 9th Avenue are charming. Highly recommend.

This hotel is all about location. It is close to well known landmarks in NYC and theaters. Beds were hard and air conditioning got block by curtains when these were close.

It's a nice hotel, an easy walk to the sights in Times Square & Broadway. The rooms are clean and comfortable even though the bathrooms are a bit outdated. Beware the air-conditioning though as the window units are noisy. This is a good hotel to stay in as a tourist, but if you're there for business, know that internet connectivity is very bad. They only offer wireless (or a bridge if your lap-top is not wireless enabled), but the signal is so weak, that you can't even catch it in the lobby. I had to have them reverse the internet charges since I could never get on-line. The business center is freezing so it's hard to work there. However, it is handy that they have multiple stations available so that you can print out your airline boarding passes for free.

My wife and I were in NYC for a brief stay and decided to stay at the Belvedere after reading other reviews. We wanted a location close to Time Square and this hotel definitely fit that bill. It's a fair accommodation for the price and location, but if you're looking for more modern accommodations, you'll be disappointed. In-window A/C units are also not the most desirable (can't close the curtain at night without obstructing the air flow).

Received early check in and the stay was really good. Elevators were a little slow and always busy and room's "foyer" marble floor was a little slippery, but everything else was good! Would absolutely stay there again if the price is right!

We love this hotel! We have stayed here before and we highly recommend it. You can not beat the location; close to Times Square - but not IN it, close to great restaurants and within walking distance of all theatres, etc. It is small, but very nice for a NYC hotel. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it!

The Hotel Belvedere is in a great location. It is close enough to walk to the theater but far enough away from Times Square that it is quiet. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel has many guests from overseas, which was fun for us.

We decided to go to The Belvedere Hotel rather than to the usual four stars hotel on the belief that good three stars can be truly value for money. This was certainly not the case with Belvedere . Reception is grumpy, breakfast very poor (the worst i ever had in NY) and the service really so-so... Too bad as the hotel is located very conveniently near to Brodway and Time Square . A little effort from the management could truly make the difference. Until then...stay away

The Belvedere was a great place to stay with my two kids. Its location was convienent to all! Check-in was quick and the elevators were not as slow as I had read in previous reviews. The Hotel is a short distance to Central Park and Times Square! I would consider staying here again!
