| Stayed in a second-floor Queen. Large room and large bathroom, especially for NYC. Everything was clean and comfortable, and functional (TV, internet, plumbing, etc.). Room was quiet enough.
Drawbacks: half of floor was noticeably pitched, including the bathroom; hotel is about half a mile from the nearest subway. |

This hotel was everything the website promised and more. The room was clean and bigger than what you would normally expect for a NYC boutique hotel. The bathroom was updated and extremely clean/comfortable. You're next to the east waterfront, which can be a little touristy, but we made use of the location and finally walked across the Brooklyn bridge. My only complaint would be the location -- even the East Village is a little far to walk to, and it was usually around a $20 cab ride to get to midtown and the theater district.

Nice, clean updated room. Quiet as located off the main street. Easy walk to lower Manhattan sites.

The staff was friendly and helpful with advice on places to eat and sites to see in the area. The room was very comfortable and extremely quiet with the window closed. I slept better here than I do at home. I look forward to staying here again.

very helpful front desk staff. nice clean rooms - small, but not uncomfortably so. nice area, but wish it was a little closer to the subway. kind of hard to hail a cab nearby, but front desk staff was happy to call for a car. nice that it was close to the water, and convenient to the brooklyn cruise terminal by car.

Nice, small hotel on Peck's Slip in the South Street Seaport area. We attended a conference at Pace University and it was a 10 minute walk. Up and coming area with nice restaurants, relatively quite.

A block from South Street Seaport. Cobblestone streets, fun restaurants and bars on the same block. The man at the front desk told us that if we drove around the block we'd most likely find a parking spot on the street and could avoid paying the parking lot fees. We easily found a spot and left our car there all weekend. The complimentary breakfast was good. The only thing we didnt like was that the room's ventilation fan made continual background noise.

We got everything we expected, including the king size bed we booked. When we first arrived I was told they had only queens available, but when I explained we had requested a king the staff did some juggling, and found us a room with a view of the Brooklyn Bridge and a king size bed. We really liked everything about this hotel only complaint was our neighbors were a bit noisy but that can happen almost anywhere. We also had a fabulous meal around the corner at the Bridge cafe NYC's oldest operating restaurant.

I looked online at the pictures of the hotel, and it looked gorgeous. It being the "Best Western Seaport Inn" I figured the images on the website of beautiful bridge views was accurate. I was surely wrong. The Queen sized room I got online turned out to only have a view of a concrete wall, about a foot away from the window, with a crack of sunlight peeking through. When my girlfriend and I peeked through the crack, we saw a pair of underwear, a few cigarette butts, and some chewed bubble gum. The continental breakfast, however was pretty nice, and they bake cookies every afternoon, which is pretty cute. The staff at the hotel is great, but unless you order the most expensive room, your not likely to have a great time.

Friendly staff, loved the quaint location, yummy breakfast - couldn't fault the hotel at all - I would definitely stay there again. The best place I've stayed in New York.
