Recent Cooper Square Hotel Review: "I chose this hotel because I was moving my daughter into the dorms at NYU and this appeared to be close. It turned out to be walking distance to the dorm, the main campus area of the school, a great restaurant - Momofuko - some great shopping in the east village and a nearby bagel place! We were in the city for four days and never even took the subway  or a cab. Everything we needed was within walking distance and boy did we have fun walking around the area and exploring. I suppose every part of New Yor has it's own charm and this area was no different. But the hotel was the best I have ever stayed at in New York. After a busy, tiring day of walking and exploring the city coming back to the modern, elegant decor and super fluffy bedding with either cookies or apples waiting with turned down sheets was refreshing. The complementary evening wine in the lobby was an added plus! Then we turned down the lights and watched the city change from dusk to night-lights through our 180 degree window view! Half the room is windows! What amazing views we saw! People say they don't spend much time in their hotel rooms in New York, but this room was worth spending some time in - it was so relaxing and luxurious. The staff were amazingly friendly, helpful and downright charming! Our room was upgraded upon arrival and then upgraded again when the air conditioning wasn't working properly one morning. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and hope to be able to come back again on another visit to the city."
