| Vi reiste dit før påsken i 2012 og var to voksne og tre barn i alderen 5, 6 og 9. Fikk et rom med to doble senger og sovesofa. Det var nok plass til alle, noe som ofte er mangelvare i New York. Hotellet er ikke nytt og gir et litt brunt inntrykk, men det gjør nytten og ligger sentralt med subway-stasjon 20 meter fra hotellinngangen. Hotellet har egen frokostrestaurant, men anbefaler heller å besøke en av cafeene i nærheten, for eksempel Cafe Europa rett rundt hjørnet. Serviceinnstilt betjening. Trenger d stor bil til og fra flyplassen ordner de det, men tar seg betalt. 125 dollar for stor SUV en vei til JFK. Taxi koster deg ca. 65, men rommer ikke alltid fem personer og bagasje. God tur! |

| Very nice place. Perfect for family. Only thing to be aware of is no bar or restaurant in the hotel. PJ Clark's, Outback and Pig & Whistle nearby though. |

| This hotel is in Midtown East-- within walking distance to Rockefeller Plaza, MoMA, 5th Avenue, and Central Park, and very close to a subway station. It was very convenient to almost all the things we wanted to do. In addition, we drove into the city, and the location was actually surprisingly easy to access from FDR Boulevard-- a bonus if you're not used to driving in Manhattan but need to drive in to the hotel. The neighborhood was more commercial than residential, but there were lots of nearby restaurants and drug stores for sundries, and it felt generally safe and clean. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and we were able to check in early and leave our bags at the bellhop desk after checkout for no additional fee. There was also free wireless/ wi-fi, which was a huge asset in planning our days/ meals. It did take a while to get our vehicle from their off-site valet parking, but that is my only service complaint, and it's a minor one. (There was no problem parking our minivan, by the way-- apparently that's an issue at other places.) The room had 2 queen beds (not full or 'double' beds, which really makes a difference when you're sharing!) and a pull-out couch, and our family of 5 was quite comfortable for 3 days. Everything was clean, fresh, and well-maintained. We did not try the breakfast but preferred to eat locally. There is not much of a lobby, but there is a concierge and a bellhop, and they had cookies and tea in the afternoon. There's no restaurant or bar for meals other than breakfast (but I think one can order room service from a nearby chain steakhouse... we didn't try this). Again, the neighborhood had plentiful options, including everything from takeout to fine dining, within walking distance. Overall, I thought this hotel was an outstanding value for the money. I would definitely recommend it to families and would stay there again. |

| We enjoyed this hotel. The room was extremely large, especially for New York, and the beds were very comfortable. The room was clean, which was evident when I checked very carefully for bed bugs. I didn't see any signs. We had a room on the 17th floor and heard little noise from the street. Even though we had a room that connected with another, we weren't disturbed by noise in the other room, which has been a problem in other hotels. All of the employees were extremely friendly and accomodating. We liked the location, close to Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's, and 5th Avenue, with a subway stop in the same block. My only complaint was that we booked a room for 2 adults and 3 kids and got a room with just two queen sized beds. This could be because we arrived a bit late. Nonetheless, the staff immediately sent up extra pillows and blankets and we made do. Overall, it was a very good stay for a fair price, and we will return again. |
