Recent Dylan Hotel Review: "I stayed at the Dylan for two nights while in Manhatten on business. It's a small boutique hotel on a quiet street, a much different ecperience than one of the larger chains. I assume because of the size, the staff knew me by name and room number as soon as I had checked in. My requests for an upgrade, directions, recommendations, pillows, a fan, and car service were all met with a smile and quick response. The rooms on the 16th floor have showers and jacuzzi tubs - all the rest just have showers, the mini suites are spacious and comfortable. Benjamin's restaurant in right in the lobby and offers delicious room service options - NY prices but my food was delivered piping hot in about 15 minutes.
My only disappointment was the climate control system. I was there during an unusually warm week during the second week of November and even with the heat off and my windows open, my 16th floor room was quite warm. The rooms on the lower floors were quite comfortable...
I travel quite a bit and the next time I'm in Manhatten I'll stay at the Dylan. It was nice to come home to at the end of a busy day"

| A short guide to Midtown |
|
Some of NYC’s best-known landmarks are north of 14th and south of 59th—or Midtown Manhattan. Here, couples kiss atop the Empire State Building. Grand Central Station’s opal-faced clock is a famed meeting spot. While fortunes are made on Wall Street, fortunes are spent at Fifth Avenue’s shops. Other highlights include Madison Square Garden, the United Nations, and the Garment and Diamond districts.

| Overview |
|
Brimming with Old New York charm, the Dylan Hotel is housed in the restored 1903 Chemists' Club building, a Beaux Arts beauty between Park and Madison Avenues. This 4-star boutique hotel is just 1 block south of Grand Central Terminal, on a quiet street between bustling Midtown and Murray Hill's neighborhood bars and restaurants. Bryant Park, a 5-minute walk away, is a great spot to enjoy a New York hot dog and bask in the sun. Stop by the New York Public Library, adjacent to Bryant Park, and snap a picture with the iconic lion statues guarding the entrance. Rising stars take the stage in the Theatre District--and at live TV tapings at Rockefeller Center's NBC Studios; both are just a half-mile from the Dylan. To explore more of Manhattan, head over to the Grand Central 42nd Street subway station, just steps away. After a day on the town, treat yourself to dinner at Benjamin Steak House, attached to the Dylan. Featuring an elegant oak-paneled dining room with soaring ceilings and a 10-foot fireplace, this steakhouse par excellence is unsurprisingly lauded (Chef Arturo McLeod previously worked at the celebrated Peter Luger Steak House). Benjamin is popular with the business crowd, but among the suits, you may spot a famous face or two. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served daily, and the restaurant offers room service during limited hours. Prefer to venture out? Travel in style: The concierge can help arrange limo service (surcharge). A business center is open 24 hours, so you can keep up with The City That Never Sleeps. Guests have access to a nearby fitness center with discount rates. Still, you may want to take a power nap. The Dylan has just 107 modern, well-appointed, non-smoking Hotel Rooms, lending an intimate feel. Beds offer premium bedding, and thoughtful touches such as turndown service and blackout curtains help you rest comfortably. Unwind with an HBO show or pay movie, or hop online--complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel. Rooms also include wired (high-speed) Internet access. Bathrobes and slippers are on offer in the Carrara marble bathrooms, and water glasses look like lab beakers--a nod to the hotel's Chemists' Club past.
