Rommene varierer i stA¸rrelse. Vannet er imidlertid trygt A¥ drikke.

  • Overview

The Lower East Side, once home to a teeming populace of newly arrived European immigrants, is now one of New York's favorite--and most fun--neighborhoods. And that's where you'll find the Hotel East Houston, a modern boutique hotel brimming with charm and personality. You'll be just a 2-minute walk from Katz's Deli, scene of the famous "I'll have what she's having" order in the film When Harry Met Sally. Indulge in Katz's famous Jewish "soul food"--perhaps the hot corned-beef sandwich or potato latkes. New Yorkers flock to the bagels and lox at Russ & Daughters, founded in 1914 and right down the block. Music fans take note: Two popular live-music venues--Arlene's Grocery and the Mercury Lounge--are within a 5-minute walk.

When you want to turn the volume down a notch, hoof it 10 minutes to the Lower East Side Tenement Museum for a fascinating glimpse into the immigrant experience. Or browse the trendy shops of SoHo, about a 15-minute walk. For an uptown field trip, ask the 24-hour front desk for help securing tickets to the Empire State Building's 86th-floor observation deck-- hop on the subway, less than a block away, and you'll be at the lookout in just 15 minutes.

Wherever your day takes you, start it off on the right foot with a complimentary continental breakfast--including fresh bread, cheese, and gourmet coffee. You can take your food up to the roof terrace and feast your eyes on the spectacular city views. Evenings, return to the terrace, stretch out on a chaise longue, and see Manhattan's lights sparkling all around you. You can check your email or flight status on the complimentary computers near the breakfast area, or take advantage of complimentary Wi-Fi, available throughout the Hotel East Houston.

The smoke-free Hotel Rooms are compact but big on style, comfort, and convenience. Beds are layered with 300-thread-count cotton linens. Flat-screen HDTVs come with HBO. Wi-Fi and local phone calls are free. Clock radios have docking stations for your iPod. Glass-tiled bathrooms are stocked with Bulgari luxury products. Nightly turndown service includes complimentary Fiji water.

    Dining at East Houston Hotel

The Hotel East Houston welcomes you to a complimentary continental breakfast daily in the Cellar. Weather permitting, you can enjoy your breakfast on the roof terrace, with its sweeping views encompassing downtown, Midtown, and New York icons like the Empire State Building.

A short guide to SoHo - Tribeca - Lower East Side

Starving artists revitalized SoHo and TriBeCa, two former industrial centers. Although the factories are long gone, their cast iron and mason buildings remain, now housing art galleries, high-end retail, and some of the city’s best restaurants. Robert De Niro’s TriBeCa Film Festival helped reestablish the area as a cultural zone after the 9/11 attacks. Nearby, Chinatown expands into Little Italy.
