| I had a two night stay. The initial room was was very small and not well kept. The management changed my room for the second night, and did so politely. The location is great. The rooms can be very small and noisy. The staff is quite accomodating. |

| Smaller intimate hotel in great location right across from Lincoln Center. Renovated nicely since I stayed there a few years ago. Rooms are tiny (But aren't all in NYC?), but clean and comfortable. And the price was right, significantly below other similar hotels in NYC. Front desk service was excellent. Would definitely stay there again, if in that area. |

| The desk clerk during check-in was rude. Since this was our first introduction to the hotel, our stay started on a negative note. Our room did not have a bathtub - not sure if this is true for all rooms or not. There were issues with the bathroom plumbing (toilet and shower drain backed-up). Although the hotel is in a great location I will not recommend or stay in the Empire again. |

Pool was not available. One of the reasons I picked this hotel I would have wanted to be notified before I came to hotel and think I would have liked a discount

| Been here several times now. Perfect location if you are going to the Met. Best bars, both rooftop and lobby. Too bad they were filming a TV show in the lobby the day we were there. Only complaint was the communication between the hotel and the valet service. It took over an hour to get our car. |

| The hotel was well located for our activities at the art gallery. The staff were helpful, polite and friendly. The rooms were small but sufficient and comfortable for our short stay. The shower was difficult to operate without getting soaked before you were ready to bathe. Shower training might have been needed! We would stay at the Empire again and will recommend it to our friends. |

| We were initially pleased with the lovely top-floor room with a view in the hotel, but that came to an end when the roof-top club got cranking after midnight and until as late as 4 AM once. The loud music and dancing above made sleeping impossible. And the clean-up crews were sliding tables and chairs around by 5:30 am.
Housekeeping was inconsistent too. They often didn't have bath mats or washcloths, even if we asked housekeeping for them.
To avoid paying the hotel's high in-room wifi connection charges, we used the free service in the lobby except for the day a movie / TV show was being filmed there and we were restricted from the area.
These people need to decide if they are a hotel or a special event space. We won't be back either way. |

| This was my first time visiting with my children ages 20,12,11. The hotel was very nice and located close to subway line. Great front desk help and nice bar downstairs. Great neighborhood with wonderful restaurants right downstairs and down the street. Only sad part was the pool was closed and the outside deck on the roof was only open at night-no kids. |

| I had called the hotel a day earlier warning that I would arrive late in the AM the next day. They said that they would try to let me check in early. Upon arrival at 11:30, I was told that I could not check in until 3 PM. That was a downer since I had jet lag and needed to clean up. The lack of a hair dryer in the room was a surprise for a hotel of this category. Overall as I stated above, it was a first class experience. |
