Recent Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel Review: "Here is a quick synopsis of our visit to NYC. We took a cab from Penn Station and arrived with assistance at the door waiting. There was no wait and I was handed two keys to my room within 60 seconds after verifying my reservation with a credit card. My luggage was taken by bell hope and we were on the elevator and up in seconds. We arrived on our floored and notiuced there are only 6 rooms per floor, very quant. Upon entry I was surprised by the size, bigger than most NYC hotels. No bathtub, so that was out. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The tv reception was sketchy in and out due to the receivers. The lighting was perfect. Not much of a view, but we were on a cross street. Excellent heaters, quick but was hard to monitor at first. Luggage was brought up right behind us in less than 3 minutes. We were offered discounts to shopping stores locally. The lobby and lounge were very clean and decorataed nicely for the holiday season. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had our way with the city and upon returning we were not bothered once. The night was amazing! The next morning check out was easy, bags ready. They let us check them at the door to pick up later, which too seconds again. After that day, we were heading home, returned for our bags, and got them in minutes. Taxi was hailed for us and on our way. The best experience yet in NYC. Thanks Fitz!"

| A short guide to Midtown |
|
Some of NYC’s best-known landmarks are north of 14th and south of 59th—or Midtown Manhattan. Here, couples kiss atop the Empire State Building. Grand Central Station’s opal-faced clock is a famed meeting spot. While fortunes are made on Wall Street, fortunes are spent at Fifth Avenue’s shops. Other highlights include Madison Square Garden, the United Nations, and the Garment and Diamond districts.

| Overview |
|
Since 1926, the family-owned Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel has brought a bit of the Irish to Midtown Manhattan. Located on Lexington Avenue between East 56th and 57th streets, the hotel offers easy access to some of the city's most coveted shopping--Bloomingdale's and Madison Avenue are both 2 blocks away, and Fifth Avenue is about a 7-minute walk. Take a break with a stroll in Central Park, an emerald expanse just a half-mile west of the Fitzpatrick Manhattan. Seeing a show? The Theater District is about a 20-minute walk or a short cab ride. Several countries' consulates are within just a few blocks, and the Fitzpatrick is often the Irish prime minister's home away from home. You'll feel right at home here, too. Waterford crystal chandeliers illuminate the wood-paneled, marble-floored lobby. Relax on a plush red sofa beside the imported Irish marble fireplace. At The Fitz restaurant, you can dig into a full Irish breakfast--generous plates of grilled tomatoes, black-and-white-pudding, and Irish sausage are served all day long, alongside other Irish favorites and American dishes. The room-service menu lets you enjoy some of The Fitz's fare 24 hours a day. Need to get down to business or update your status? Wireless Internet access (surcharge) is available throughout the hotel. You can keep up with your fitness routine, too: The Fitzpatrick Manhattan offers complimentary access to the New York Health & Racquet Club, an expansive facility with an indoor pool, less than a block away. The 91 Hotel Rooms provide a warm welcome after a busy day. Stretch out on the pillowtop mattress and watch premium channels on the flat-screen TV. Dock your iPod on the clock radio, and awaken to your personal playlist. Bathrooms are done up with marble, granite, and dark wood and include bathrobes and glass-enclosed showers. Request turndown service, and you'll wind down the night with complimentary chocolates and Irish bottled water. And rest assured: the hotel is smoke-free.
