Recent Franklin Hotel Review: "I was very happy with my stay at The Franklin. The hotel is nicely located in the Upper East Side. There are two garages on the same street, if you drive there. Upon my arrival, the staff and bellman were very polite, welcoming, and helpful. The antique elevator adds to the charm. The room was New York-small but appropriate. The room was fresh, bright, and clean. Chandelier, plasma tv, modern bowl sink, new tile in bathroom (travertiner), nice shower and toilet - all new in the last year or two. Bed was very comfortable and linens bright white and fresh. Service was excellent. European breakfast was very nice. Walking distance to Central Park, Guggenheim, and the Met. Some nice restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. Excellent experience overall and I would easily recommend as an older boutique hotel with plenty of character and great service that was recently updated."
