| My fiancé and I stayed here during a visit to NYC for the 2012 NYIASA. The hotel was very helpful and allowed us to drop off our bags early in the morning, attend the show all day and still check in late that evening. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The rooms are a little on the small side But I'm fairly sure that is due to the building being older. The rooms, while small, are very well furnished and decorated. There is no room service on site but a local diner delivers 24hr a day. ***** experience. 5 out of 5 |

| the staff was helpful and courteous. very clean rooms. the bed was comfortable. it was a very pleasant overnight stay. i would certainly stay there again and recommend it to friends. |

| We stayed in a king room and it was very neat and clean but extremely small...There was no closet for our luggage, my fiance and I were literally bumoing into each other everytime we moved...it was ridiculously small...I felt closterphobic. On the flip side, the staff was very friendly and we were only about 15mins walking distance from Time Square. I would not stay there again. |

| When I got there I was in the middle of a rough trip having been to multiple locations prior to New York. The only thing that teed me off was that the clicker for the television did not work. It took a lot of visits to the room and a few hours to rectify and it was irritating. But the staff did do it's best to rectify it and the rest of my stay was conveient and fine. Comfortable bed.... and I will stay there again. |

| I chose this because it was practically next to my office and I did not want to walk far in the cold. The room was very tiny but clean. Only problem I had was that the heat unit was so loud that I could not sleep. It was late at night when I complained and they did not have a service person available. They did offer to move me to another room, but I did not want to move - so they brought me extra blankets. It was very comfortable, convenient and friendly. Fine for my brief stay. If i have to spend more time in my room, I would want something roomier though. |

| The hotel was decent, not a spacious as it claims to be. Our room was right next to the elevator which when being used can be heard in the room. It was okay but for the price, leaves much to be desired. Oh, and the wi-fi service is bad. |

| I needed a last minute affordable room, close to the studio I had a very early-starting all day meeting at the next day. I read the reviews and sure enough, GEM was close by, clean, cute and most importantly quiet. Granted it was a Tues night. The neighborhood is so-so, but I knew the area and sight-seeing/entertaining wasn't part of the plan anyway. The bed wasn't as comfy as other places I've stayed in but again, clean and quiet and nicely decorated for a one night stay more than made up for it. |
