Recent Gem Soho Ascend Collection Review: "This hotel is actually a couple of blocks from SoHo. Yes, the rooms are small, and I heard several people in a queen or double room asking to be moved to larger rooms, but we had two double beds and enough room for both of us. It is NYC and the rooms are small compared to other areas. The people at the front desk are the nicest and most helpful hotel people I've ever dealt with. The beds were amazing and it was hard to come back to my own bed. The F Subway is really slow on the weekends, so if you are going uptown, it would be a lot faster to take a cab. However, we were saving our money for the fabulous restaurants around the area. Stomp is just up 2nd Ave. and we happened upon first row seats. I would recommend the show. Overall, another great weekend in NYC."
