| Hotel is in a great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A decent continental breakfast every morning. As the hotel is old the room and bath were a nice size for a NY hotel. However, it hasn't been refurbished.
The main downside was the fact that there was no electric outlet readily accessible to plug in my laptop. |

| Where to begin...? Sheets too small for the bed, remote control didn't work, the toilet pipes released a spray of water on to the floor when it was flushed, the drain in the shower was just a huge hole in the ground, the tv sat on a rickety old tv tray, we lost electricity for a whole day (circut breaker), breakfast was a crazy, free for all where if you didn't get there at 6:30am you were out of luck, the carpet in our room was rumpled and dirty, the HVAC vent was decrepit, the "exercise room" was a YMCA pass for across the block that was expired, and the doorman was too busy arguing with the bellman over who got to keep the tips. That about covers it. The pros? No bugs, free newspaper, all you can carry back to your room breakfast, and great water pressure. |

| People there are wonderful - we booked late, so we paid a little more than if we had booked earlier. Rooms were nice, plenty of space. Beds were comfortable. Loved it. |

| I've been staying here on and off for 30 years. It's frankly a bit tired (carpets stained, wallpaper faded), but the rooms are clean and the staff is courteous. Bed and bedding are good, AC and heat work well, and plumbing is adequate. At this stay, I was in a room (1606) with a frightening looking acid burn in the sink. Creepy.
Rooms are large compared to other NYC hotels at this price point, and bathroom towels are huge and abundant.
The location is superb, and the continental bkfst is high quality (eat in your room). The price is good for what you get, and is much less expensive than other, perhaps posher, hotels in the neighborhood. |

| This was our second time staying herel. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The location is great and accessible to many venues. My only complaint is that the air conditioning was very noisy. However, the room was comfortable and clean and much more spacious than other NY hotels we have been in. There is no lobby to speak of, though a continental breakfast is provided each morning. Nothing special, but still a nice feature. If you want want a good place to stay at a reasonable price, I would definitely recommend this. |

| No room service - could have used some area maps and subway schedules to help people get around, but the personnel were exceptionally friendly and helpful. |
