| Great location and friendly staff. The room was clean but the shower drain was slow and the water backs up quickly. |

| We spent 4 nights at the Herald Square Hotel. The location was great; close to subway. The room was nice, clean with comfortable bed. Fully met our expectations.
NYC hotels are so pricey, it was great to find this one so that we could make the trip! |

| Nothing fancy, but comfortable bed and nice shower. Can't beat the price with the location in midtown manhattan. This hotel is ideal for people who would rather spend money going to shows, dinner and shopping then stay in their hotel room. |

| The location of the hotel was excellent. The rooms are a bit small and no-frills but for the price paid it was a great vlaue. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I had a business trip in the city - probably not for a family vacation type stay though. |

| Hotel is still under renovation but you can see it will be wonderful when finished. The room was very cozy, decorative iron bed with down white comforter and pedestal sinks in the sparkling white bathroom. Management was very friendly offering directions when needed. |

| We absolutely LOVED the Herald Square Hotel! I was looking for a "Budget" hotel since we were only staying for 1 night and didn't want to spend a fortune, and I have to say I was more than pleasantly surprized! Not only was the price terrific, but when we got there hours before normal check-in time we were given a room right away and upgraded to an even better room at no additional cost! The room was lovely, no tacky "hotel" art on the walls or groovy bedspreads. The room was plenty big for the 2 of us and all our stuff (not a huge room, but what do you expect in NYC???) and the queen size bed was sooo comfy! I read one review that said they didn't supply toiletries, but I always bring my own anyway so that didn't matter to me. They even have a really cute little "cafe" area in the lobby with a coffee bar where you can make all sorts of flavored coffee/tea/hot chocolate whenever you want. Just because this room didn't cost a fortune doesn't make it "Budget" in my book because as far as I'm concerned they didn't cut any corners on anything. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and would absolutely stay here again next time we come to NYC and will not hesitate to recommend it to any of my family and friends. Great job Herald Square Hotel!!! |

| It is a casual atmosphere in Manhattan. Has an "old" feel but comfortable, with a hint of elegance. Nice for a night or 2 and convenient to Manhattan sites. |
