Recent Hilton Manhattan East Review: "My husband and I stayed in this hotel for the weekend and were extremely happy with the professionalism of the employees and the outstanding service they provided. When we got to the hotel the front desk upgraded us to a suite, not sure why, but either way we were extremely happy. They also were quick with getting us checked in and answering any questions we had. We ordered room service the next morning and the food was delivered quickly and was very good. I was extremely impressed with this hotel and would definately stay there again as well as recommend it to others!!!!"

Hotel was boutique-style. Had been updated and rooms were small but nicely furnished, clean. The major problem at this hotel was the management and violation of check-in policy. Policy states 3PM check-in. Several guests were kept waiting (us included) for 45min.-over 1 hour after 3PM to check in. This is totally unacceptable. Hilton needs to look into this matter immediately and to have a management change. I do not blame housekeeping, although that is who the desk reception implied was the problem. It is poor mismanagement of staff that is the problem here.

My rating overall would actually be a 4.5, but they don't give that option here. Our room was ready a little after 3pm, and we were upgraded to a King Junior Suite from a regular double bed room because they had overbooked the doubles. Although we wanted our own beds (myself and a friend had come into town to see a show), the suite was roomy and clean. We were happy with it. We were able to check our bags in prior to getting our room AND after we checked out so we didn't have to lug them around the city. There's a nice Irish pub directly across the street as well as the hotel's own restaurant right off the lobby. It's also just a few blocks down the road from Grand Central Station. A big plus for me. It used to be The Hotel Tudor and recently became a Hilton this past January. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean, and the continental breakfast was just what we needed the next morning to get going. All in all, we had a very nice stay. I would book this hotel again.

stayed in Hilton east. clean room, comfortable bed, close to grand central so can get to anywhere fast. as HH member they upgrade me to american breakfast, which is ok, nothing to write home about

Hotel rooms are clean, not too small and well maintained. Service is fair. If you want a clean room which is fairly central located then this is not a bad choice. If you expect luxury or an extraordinary service you will be dissapointed.

I would stay here again, BUT! There was no wifi in my room for the 3 nights I was there despite the hotel description specifying wifi in all rooms. The first room I was given was very small and had no desk or table so no place to put a computer or anything. The second day I was moved to another very small room, but better equipped with a usable desk and desk chair. During my stay, the room was not carefully vacuumed or cleaned. The remote control did not work (they replaced it quickly), and I had one small bar of soap for the sink and bath for the 3 days I was there. The other amenities were replaced, but no soap. So a bit inconsistent, but the condition of the room was fine. I did not eat any meals at the hotel, but the lobby looked like a nice place to sit. The staff were extremely courteous.

Excellently located and well-maintained hotel. Room somewhat small, but well laid out and very attractive. As a solo traveler, I found it very adequate for my needs and enjoyed my stay. Staff was very accommodating and cordial.

The friendly staff made our stay enjoyable and met our expectations. Although the room was quite small it was comfortable. The desk where we sat our laptop was cramped, too close to the bed. But since we did not have to do much work, we worked it out. I would stay here again and I would recommend to everyone.
