we got to the hotel at 1:00 in morning only to find that the sheets on one of the beds were dirty and smelly - the front desk responded promptly but we had to stay awake for another 1 hour while he was trying to figure things out

We stayed there with our grandchildren and had a good experience. The hotel is located in a very busy area right next to the freeway. It is easy to miss when you get off the freeway and almost imposssible to get back to. The staff was great and our room was clean.

Front desk help and service was great. Room was clean, very comfortable bed and nice bathroom with all facilities. Shuttle to and from subway was right on time. Woodhaven station is 10 minutes drive from hotel. They don't have shuttles to and from JFK, 10 minutes drive from hotel to JFK airport (22$ - taxi meter). It was hard to sleep at night because  of the traffic noise outside.

This hotel was a good choice, as we were arriving at La Guardia at 11:30 pm. The free shuttle picked us up at the airport and transported us the next morning to the subway. The desk clerk was so helpful when we checked in, by giving us all the directions to go to Manhattan in the morning. And we enjoyed the breakfast.

Very helpful front desk staff for my few minor needs in my 3-day stay. The room was very clean and very comfortable, at a very fair price. Slept like a baby, and I usually don't in a hotel. I had two nit-picking issues: the desk chair had little padding, so when sat there typing on my laptop for a few hours, I needed to get a pillow to sit on; and,  the cable channel choice was somewhat limited [you can tell how good the hotel is if those were my problems....]. That said, when I have business anywhere in the area (and I will) I am certainly going to return.

We chose this hotel mainly for the its low rate and the fact that it offered free shuttle service between the hotel, LaGuardia Airport and a nearby subway stop (the Woodhaven stop on the M/R line). But if you plan to catch a late train out of Manhattan back to the hotel, be forewarned: The Woodhaven stop is CLOSED due to construction late at night so  you won't be able to get off there to get the free shuttle back to the hotel. We had to get off several stops away and take a cab back to the hotel. Our room had two double beds. Each came with four pillows: two labeled "hard" and two labeled "soft". All four pillows were quite comfortable, but strangely, the beds did not have a comforter or bedspread. It only had a very thin throw-type blanket at the foot of each bed. We had to keep the heat running all night while we slept in order to stay warm (we were there in ebruary). The continental breakfast did not offer fruit which was disappointing. They offered pancakes, cold cereals, muffins and juice. Also wished the room came with either a microwave or refrigerator but it did not come with either. Overall, I'd stay here again just for the competitive rate and the free shuttle service between the airport and subway. Can't beat that.

The hotel was definitely nicer than others we've stayed at near the airport. It was clean and comfortable and the staff was helpful-when we asked about early check-in they accommodated us and also provided a refrigerator. The only problem was that the shuttle to the airport only left once an hour on the hour, so we had to leave at 8:00 for a 10:00   flight.

My boyfriend and I stayed here and really enjoyed ourselves. The room was clean and the staff was helpful and polite. The only thing I would say is that the breakfast culd have been better, (the eggs tasted like chemicals), and the phones were downs so when we got lost driving there was no alternate way of contacting the hotel, which caused us to be  an hour late getting to the wedding we came out there for in the first place. But, other than that it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
