Recent Hotel Pennsylvania Review: "The origional room assigned was great but only had one bed. We wanted to stay in that room and called to get a few cots for the kids. We were told that the cots were $xx each per day, We did not want to do that so they moved us to another room. I think that we should have got the cots and not moved rooms. We were moved to a room that did not have a  room number labled on the door. When we tried to get help many were willing but none thought we were telling the truth. In the end someone did come up to prove us wrong and was very suprised to find there was no room lable for room 1076 and tried the room access card in room 1070 and it worked. The room did what we needed and we made it work but would have rather had the origional room because the 1076 room was very small for 4 people. The service was excellent when we called for anything it was provided. We did have remind any service call that the room was marked 1070 every time. We did read reviews before booking and did not find any problems related to the reviews. So they were just winers or the hotel reads these reviews and acts on them. I hope the latter is true. The placement of this Hotel is perfect for visitors like us. This is our first time to NYC. The subway is just across the street. The train to niagara departs from there and arrives from Washington DC there also. The floors, elevators, lobby, workers and lighting were in order. There was a station by the elevators that was manned to monitor the traffic which I thought was smart. Ultimately your stay will be great. Ours was."
