Recent Marriott East Side Review: "My fiance and I stayed at this Marriott for a single night during a long weekend. Even though the hotel was very crowded and frantic, the management and staff went out of their way to make sure all of our needs were met.
The location of the hotel was wonderful and convenient, providing easy access to local resources and sights. Also, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and comfort of the both the room and the common areas.
Overall we had a very positive experience with the Marriott and would definitely stay there again."

| Overview |
|
When you stay at the New York Marriott East Side, you'll be enjoying a prime Midtown East location near famous attractions--and the hotel itself is a landmark, too. At one time the world's tallest building, the 35-story Marriott was designed by the same architect behind the Empire State Building, 1 mile away. As you approach the hotel on Lexington Avenue, notice the neo-Romanesque exterior, complete with gargoyles and towering arches over the entrance. Grand Central Terminal, another architectural gem, is less than a half-mile away. In the terminal's main concourse, take time to admire soaring, star-studded ceiling and the famous four-faced clock--a perennial meeting place. Rockefeller Center, one of Midtown's crown jewels, is also less than a half-mile. Want some of the stellar shopping Manhattan is known for? Head 2 blocks west to Fifth Avenue. The 51st Street subway stop is just 2 blocks north, and you can find 2 other stations with a half-mile. Built in 1924 and recently renovated, this Marriott retains its Manhattan glamour without sacrificing modern conveniences. The 24-hour fitness center, located on the top floor, features state-of-the-art cardio machines with individual TVs; arched windows frame inspiring views of Manhattan. Wireless Internet access (surcharge) is available throughout the hotel, and the business center is open 24 hours a day. Ample conference space is available, including 27 small meeting rooms, which total 21,000 square feet. The new 525LEX restaurant showcases updated comfort food for breakfast and dinner. Or just stay in--room service is available early morning till late night. Your Hotel Rooms offers a welcoming haven after a day (or night) on the town. Snuggle up in 300-thread-count linens, a down duvet, and plump pillows--all part of Marriott's signature Revive bedding. Watch your favorite HBO show or a Hollywood hit on the 32-inch flat-screen HDTV. With the handy plug-in panel, you can connect your MP3 player, camera, or laptop to the TV. Need to get a little work done before you catch 40 winks? Wireless and wired high-speed Internet access is available for a surcharge, and the desk comes with an ergonomic chair. And breathe easy: The hotel has a smoke-free policy.
