Recent Milford Plaza Times Square Review: "I read the reviews before I booked the hotel and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is under renovation and some of the reviews posted arena€™t valid anymore. The room was very clean, the hotel staff was great (there was a post or two about not enough staff -- there were 3 clerks at the counter, two doormen, two folks at the concierge  desk, two security guards in the lobby, no less than two or three cleaning staff in the lobby working and a lady hanging out around the elevator telling the a€śrookiesa€ť how to use them). The lobby appeared to be under construction, but from the looks of it in a couple of months it will look as modern as the room did. The mattress and the bedding where exceptionally comfortable. The hotel is located right across for the Port Authority Bus Terminal and just 2 blocks from the heart of Time Square. If youa€™ve not traveled to NYC, this really is a great location to be close to the a€śmust seesa€ť in NYC. Ia€™ve stayed at several of the a€śbrand name/chaina€ť hotels in and around Time Square and they have nothing on The Milford Plaza. For those of you who travel a lot, the hotel had a very a€śWa€ť vibe, but with more light and no animal prints. The only suggestion is to have some outlets near the desk. In the room I was in I had to pull the bed away from the wall a bit to plug my laptop in, other than that the room was perfect. The room was small, but it was clean, safe and comfortable. The air conditioning unit is located in the rooms, so it does make some white noise, so if youa€™re not used to that it might bother you a little bit. Ia€™m going to make sure my co-workers and friends that travel know about this hotel."
