Recent Millenium Hilton Review: "The Millennium Hilton is set within the Financial District, directly across from Ground Zero. It's an exciting location, just steps from the subways, across the street from what was once the World Trade Center, and withing walking distance to South Street Seaport that rests on the Hudson, and hosts plenty of restaurants. It is also the place to purchase half-price tickets to Broadway shows, which should be the first place you go after breakfast. If you want, the ride to South Street is only a $5 taxi, which beats the subway if you're traveling with friends. The hotel rooms are spacious, the bed soft and comfortable; the TV set is huge, and the bathroom is also. The desk clerk put us up on the top floor, 55th, with a magnificent view of the Hudson and Brooklyn Bridge. We were close to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, and about a $12 ride to the theatre district, midtown (depending on the cabbie though--one of them took us on a $20 ride and talked on the phone the entire time--no tip for him!). This hotel is wonderful. Make sure you tip the housekeepers every day (place a few dollars on your pillow). HAVE FUN! The pool, on the 5th floor, is big, clean and looks and feels terrific, with a sauna and locker rooms. This place is first class all the way, with helpful porters and a concierge who knows his way around New York."

A short guide to Wall Street - Financial District

Wall Street comes to life before dawn as traders rush to Lower Manhattan to make and break deals. But finance is just one aspect of Lower Manhattan, where colonial churches stand next to skyscrapers. Within the district, rebuilding continues at Ground Zero. At Battery Park, ferries depart for Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, America’s beacon of freedom.

Housed in a glass-enclosed room overlooking St. Paul's Chapel, the heated, 40-foot indoor pool is open from early morning until evening. The 24-hour fitness center provides a unisex sauna, massage treatment room, free weights, strength-training equipment, and cardio machines.

    Dining at Millenium Hilton
