Recent Novotel Times Square Review: "I stayed at the Novotel with two of my girl friends, one of which was celebrating her 21st birthday, the weekend after New Years. The hotel was in a perfect location for the birthday festivities, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was nice, roomy, and very comfortable, and the price paid was even more pleasant considering it was IN Manhattan/Times Square. I have stayed in other NYC hotels that are not in the heart of Manhattan and they were MORE expensive than the Novotel. One thing to note about the Novotel that I didn't know before is that it is a popular place for flight attendants to stay in between flights. I never found this to be a problem, just something to note. Also, the structure of the Novotel is interesting - you enter the revolving door to come to a small lobby. From there you must take the elevator up to the ACTUAL lobby where you can check in/out and where you will find the elevators to get up to the rooms. This, also, was never an issue, but something to be aware of because we found, several times, that the smaller street level lobby is where guests leave their luggage when they are unable to check in right away, which can make it a little cluttered. It never posed an issue for actually walking through the smaller lobby though. Overall, the Novotel was really great! I wish I could have stayed longer to take in all of the amenities it had to offer (fitness center, bar/lounge, restaurant). But, this is definitely somewhere I would want to stay again."
