Recent Omni Berkshire Place Review: "After taking several regular trips to Manhattan over the past ten+ years, I've had the benefit of trying out many different hotels within the city. In the past five or so years, I've narrowed down my choices to a select few. With my recent stay at the Omni Berkshire, those select few have been put aside. I was VERY impressed with the Omni Berkshire. On Madison Avenue, "location, location, location" is quite evident at this hotel. It is my understanding the hotel just underwent a rather extenstive renovation, so everything during my stay was seemingly brand new. The rooms smelled new, everything was in perfect condition. I was supposed to arrive around 3:00 in the afternoon, but due to to travel/airline woes, I wound up not arriving at the hotel until midnight or so. Upon arriving, I was checked in within a matter of 30 seconds... no joke. Upon entering the room, turndown service had already been in earlier and had my bed ready and a light was on over on the nightstand. If you missed housekeeping service due to a "PRIVACY PLEASE" sign on your door, they leave a message in your voicemail indicating that you can call up until 1:00 to schedule housekeeping should you like. I found this to be nice and helpful. Newspaper and complimentary coffee were at my door in the mornings and I loved the large bathroom!!! I did purchase the "premier" or "superior" room, so perhaps that's why, but compared to other, far more costly hotels I've stayed at in the Manhattan, the bathroom was surprisingly large and VERY well stocked with amenities. I LOVE the new wardrobes/storage closets within the room, too. They conceal EVERYTHING including suitcase, ice bucket, in-room safe, etc. Plenty of storage for things you collect/buy during your time in Manhattan. They're quite large, and have interior lighting in them as well. Very nice addition to the guestrooms. Another thing I noticed about the hotel is there wasn't any "riff-raff." Again, staying at far more expensive hotels in the city"
