Recent Sheraton Towers Review: "Although we did an overnight visit to NYC (we live in NJ) we found the hotel's offerings (and price) quite good!
The Pope was in NYC the same weekend and the hotel was pretty full with various Catholic school organizations as well as being the international media headquarters. The staff did not appear frazzled by all the commotion - in fact you would never know that such an important event was happening!
The room was not huge (queen size bed) but the flat panel TV was nice. Don't expect a great view - there are taller buildings around! But then again we were not there for the views from the room!
We did not eat at the hotel but found the drinks at the bar quite pricey ($25.00 for two drinks with a tip)- ouch! There's a Starbucks in the lobby which made the morning nicer!
Everything mid-town Manhattan has to offer is all within walking distance of the hotel.
Great location - great value. Will stay here again."

| A short guide to Midtown |
|
Some of NYC’s best-known landmarks are north of 14th and south of 59th—or Midtown Manhattan. Here, couples kiss atop the Empire State Building. Grand Central Station’s opal-faced clock is a famed meeting spot. While fortunes are made on Wall Street, fortunes are spent at Fifth Avenue’s shops. Other highlights include Madison Square Garden, the United Nations, and the Garment and Diamond districts.
