Recent Skyline Hotel Review: "Our first trip to NYC was great. The hotel was spacious, there were 2 adults with 2 school age children. It was difficult to find a room in the city for 2 queen beds in one room, we were happy to have found this one. The room was spacious enough to hold our luggages. The pool was great, the only draw back was that it closes at 9pm on weekends and 10pm  on weekdays. But we did manage to use it a few times. Our daughter loved going into the pool after long days of sight seeing. There is a deli accross the street from the hotel called the Skyline deli, the food was decent and inexpensive. You could get an egg/bacon bagel for $1.95. We had breakfast from there everyday. The NYC cops even eats there so we know that the food is quite good and clean. There were lots of restaurants on 9th avenue too. Within 10 minutes walk is Times Square, we were quite happy that we did not stay there as it was nice to get a good night's sleep away from the huzzle and buzzle. Subway was on 8th avenue. With the little kids, we did the hop on hop off tours, we go to see lots of museums, sights. On the night tour, we went to Brooklyn and there was a firework at the the same time; NYC was very beautiful. For the kids, they liked the American Natural History Museum. My favourite was the Tenentment Museum and the MET. I liked the Top of the Rock while my husband like the Empire State Building. We found that most New Yorkers were helpful. We would return again to this hotel and city."
