Recent Travel Inn Hotel Review: "I was quite pleasantly surprised with this hotel. For the location it was in, a few blocks from Times Square, and the amount I paid, I honestly thought it was going to be a run-down, dirty hotel, but it was the complete opposite. The hotel lobby was very pleasant, with chairs to lounge in and an area available with internet access for a charge, and the hotel desk workers were very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was very nice; large, clean, and a nice, clean bathroom as well. I was a little nervous about being able to fall asleep because we had a room that was street view, but in fact the noise wasn't bad at all. Of course during the day there is much traffic, but at night it actually was a pleasant sound to hear. It definitely did get quiter at night. The free parking was definitely another plus. We were able to keep our car parked all weekend and walked or took the subway everywhere. The hotel is two blocks from a main subway entrance, so you have access to anywhere without having to drive or take a taxi. The hotel is also in walking distance to many places, including Times Square, 5th Ave, and plenty of stores to shop, as well as many restaurants/diners to eat in, which also include the Theatre Diner, which is where room service is ordered from through the hotel. This restaurant was located a block up and was excellent with service and food. Overall, this hotel was fantastic, especially for the price and location, and I will definitely be staying there again. Only two downfalls that I found, which weren't that big of a deal. One was the shower drain was a little slow, so you just have to take a quick shower or stand in a little water! The other was they don't have manual heat/ac in the rooms, so it was a little stuffy hot in there. The windows do open, so it was much better after we opened the windows, the air came in quite well. I asked the front desk about this and they informed me that after Memorial Day, the entire hotel goes into air conditioning"
