This section of lower Manhattan offers more than a view of
the World Trade Center site. Go to the South Street Seaport for a trip
into New York's past as a port town. In
season, you can even go for a sail. Trinity Church, on Wall Street, was built
in 1864 - that's the current church; the parish was founded by charter of King
William III of England in 1697.
Across
the street from City Hall, J&R is a string of stores: Computer World, Music
World, Camera World...go there for astounding bargains.
Do give yourself a New Yorker's sunset treat, and take the Staten Island ferry across and back.
With its breathtaking views of lower Manhattan and The Statue of Liberty, it's a boat ride you'll never forget. The
fact that it's completely FREE makes it even more appealing!
