Recent Wyndham Garden Newark Airport Review: "No negatives, apart from the fact that Newark Airport is one of the least appetizing places to stay. But if you have to stay there, this hotel is a very good choice: it's close, convenient, clean, the parking is free (other Airport hotels charge as much as $20/night) and for me, anyway the service was outstanding. The approaches to Newark airport by car are harrowing, even if, like myself, you've been there many times. Trying to navigate to some of the hotels there is extremely challenging, especially if you haven't been to the particular hotel and are not quite sure where it is. I had blundered into a very sketchy neighborhood in Newark and got the front desk to talk me out of there and to the hotel. Despite the fact that the desk person had other duties, she stayed with me on the phone until I drove into the parking lot. Thank you! And after I had checked out and was waiting for my flight, I discovered I had left my cell phone in the room. The desk got someone to retrieve it and had it for me when I stepped off the shuttle so that I could go right back to the airport. Thank you again!"
